Atlanta Tutors was founded by Nathan and Hope Vigil—a husband and wife team of dedicated educators. Between the two of them, Nathan and Hope have over 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience.

Nathan received his bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and his master’s degree from Emory University, both in American History. Prior to starting Atlanta Tutors, Nathan worked as a professional editor for a publishing company in California and then as an SAT Instructor for a learning center in Duluth, Georgia. In addition to running Atlanta Tutors, Nathan is currently a Writing Instructor at Georgia Tech and a PhD Candidate in the History Department at Emory University.

Hope graduated summa cum laude from Georgia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in International Affairs. She earned her master’s degree in Education from California State University, Fullerton, with a specialization in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Prior to starting Atlanta Tutors, Hope worked as an English Instructor at Georgia Christian University.
