Information about Atlanta Tutors LLC:
Atlanta Tutors was founded in 2005 by Nathan and Hope Vigil--a husband and wife team of dedicated Georgia educators and parents.
As Georgia educators with over 15 years of teaching and mentoring experience, we take great pride in providing Georgia students with the highest quality academic support services. As Georgia parents, we bring the same level of attention and care to our tutoring business as we do to the education of our own children.
All of our tutoring programs are carefully tailored to the unique needs of the individual student, and we maximize the convenience and effectiveness of our tutoring sessions by conducting them in the student's home. We offer personalized tutoring for nearly all academic subjects (K-12 and college) and individual test preparation for the SAT, ACT, SSAT, and CRCT.
We are extremely selective when it comes to hiring tutors. We carefully screen all of our tutors to ensure that they meet the highest standards of academic achievement, teaching ability, and personal character.
Reviews by Atlanta Parents and Students:
The following is a small sampling of the feedback that we have received from parents and students:
"My daughter just checked her updated SAT scores online. Her overall score improved by 160 points. Thank you sooo much for your time and talents. I think these improvements will mean that she can attend any of those schools that she's been considering."
Sheila, Parent of a Senior, Greater Atlanta Christian School
"We really, really appreciated our tutor--he got our son through Biology, pulling him from an F to a very high B by the end of the semester. Super tutor in every way."
Donna, Parent of a Freshman, Dunwoody High School
"I just wanted to share the good news! My son's SAT scores went up 120 points. He is now eligible for the Presidential scholarship at Auburn."
Susan, Parent of a Senior, Greater Atlanta Christian School
"Our tutor has been absolutely wonderful! My daughter was failing Algebra/Trig due to many missed days of school because of an accident, but our tutor helped her bring her grade up to a B!"
Diane, Parent of a Senior, Grayson High School
"I just don't think I could've chosen a better tutor if I'd done it personally. Amanda showed up on time and was so genuine that my son wasn't intimidated; indeed, he was motivated to please her. She is a natural educator (as opposed to 'teacher')....In all, I would not hesitate to recommend your services. Please use me as a reference if you choose to."
June, Parent of Senior, Duluth, GA
"We were very pleased with Victor's work. Our son improved his SAT score about 180 points. The tutor definitely kept his end of the bargain. He was prompt, struck the right balance of friendliness and business. Obviously he is highly competent."
James, Parent of a Senior, Decatur High School
"I am a mathematics instructional coach with DeKalb County Schools and I have 18 years experience in the school system teaching Middle School and High School mathematics. The reason I went to Atlanta Tutors is because I wanted my daughter to have the experience of working with someone else and of course time. I am working on my doctorate and I don't have time for anything else. My daughter has enjoyed all of her tutors and they have really helped her to be successful in her AP classes. She was very excited with the match that you gave her with Jenn. She and my daughter got along well and my daughter says that she enjoys her style of tutoring."
Deborah, Parent of a Senior, Chamblee High School
"I just wanted to share the good news! My son's SAT scores went up 120 points. He is now eligible for the Presidential scholarship at Auburn. I appreciate your encouragement when I first inquired about tutoring a few months ago. Karen was just the tutor we needed."
Susan, Parent of a High School Senior, Greater Atlanta Christian School
